• nntp: From: line looks suspect

    While investigating while a usenet body isn't showing up in Claws Mail, I noticed something odd about the to From: line.

    in dove-net.techtalk

    From: "TLDR" (VERT) <VERT!TLDR@endofthelinebbs.com>

    This would make it appear the original message was delivered to a local address on my BBS. I believe it should not display @endofthelinebbs.com.

    If this is done to fulfill some RFC requirement then maybe there's a way to determine the original source of the message rather than the server it was obtained from by the usenet client?

    I don't understand how a "From" header implies who/where a message was delivered to, and NNTP isn't my baby.
