  • Russian oligarchs are fleeing

    More and more ultra-rich Russians are leaving their country. They go on vacation and stay on vacation. Their children go to schools in the West, and these ultra-rich Russians try to get as much of their wealth as possible outside Russia.

    I don't blame them. The number of influential Russians who have fallen from windows in recent years is enormous. And these are just the cases we've noticed in the West.

    As a wealthy Russian, you certainly realize that there's no way to earn a living in Russia right now. So why stay?

    You use your influence to get your capital in cash and you send it to more pleasant places.

    Just don't get picked off at the border, because then you're in trouble.

    Putin isn't keen on them leaving. Putin is therefore trying to keep up the pressure and threatens to confiscate their assets... Which only increases the pressure on others to leave. After all, why wouldn't I be the next to lose my home and hearth, and perhaps even my life? Confidence in Putin is gone. The deal he made with the ultra-rich Russians is off the table; it's every man for himself now.

    Things aren't going well in Russia; that much is already very clear.
