The US Congress is generic. The whole system is flawed. They don't represent us, they represent themselves.

I wrote to US Rep Josh Riley a few weeks ago about the urgent need for metal detection systems in public schools, and he replied with something like "Thanks for your opinion."

And today I got an automated email from his office asking if I agree with him fighting the federal government to protect rural hospitals.

In case the systemic failure isn't obvious: He can care less about protecting schools, and he's willing to actually shut down the government just to protect "rural hospitals." He can shove rural hospitals up his butt. I want the schools to be protected now, and we can talk about "rural hospitals" some other time.

I called some RINOs this year and a couple of them chose not to run for re-election because of all the calls.... I called Lauren Boebert because she didn't want to sign the Big Beautiful Bill... I think it was that... and she caved.

I never trusted Lauren Boebert. She's an attention seeker.

This is part of why we can't blame Democrats for things; it's our party that needs to get off their butts.

This is another virtue signal. The Fed can't do anything about rural hospitals - other than send our tax dollars there. The problem with rural hospitals is a state issue, not a Federal issue, because it's the state overrulations that are causing the problems.

There's lots of smoke here.

He can't do anything about the schools. Those are all local now. Like the rural hospitals, the most he can do is send or withhold Federal money.

In both instances, he's using those issues to hide the fact that he doesn't care about the country and is, effectively, voting to shut down the gov't.

Elitists love their misdirection and redirection. If they are shouting about 123, look elsewhere because they are trying to distract you away from something.

And more security in the schools would mean that they would have to get rid of some of their puppets in the school system to pay for it.

Yup. Because graft is the only thing they know how to do. They are useless people. IHMO: We need shorter term limits and overall term limits (i.e. can't be in public office for a total of more than XX years).

I think people are sensitive to this now. When someone is your opponent and declares that they are your opponent, you have some respect for them. But if someone is your opponent, but declares that they are on your side, that's a betrayal.
