TikTok will be split into an American TikTok and a TikTok for the rest of the world. At least, if Trump has his way; China still needs to approve the deal. TikTok USA will remain slightly less than 20% owned by ByteDance. Oracle, Silver Lake, and MGX Investment Fund will jointly acquire a 45% stake, with the remaining 35% held by (likely) Trump's friends and possibly the Trump family trust. No representative of ByteDance, the current owner, was present at the signing of the agreement.
