• The Stable Genius explained

From Björn Felten@2:203/2 to All on Thu Jul 31 04:33:14 2025
Intelligence without the proper use of information ("intel") is like a Ferrari with no fuel -- just potential, no motion.
You can be a genius, but if you're not engaging with reality, testing ideas, or adapting to new data, you're stagnant.
A "Stable Genius", who doesn't evolve, risks becoming a fossil -- impressive but irrelevant.
True intelligence is dynamic, constantly refining itself through experience and new insights. Otherwise, you're just coasting on a title, not growing.

Conning people is easy. You just need to overcome their intelligence. But convincing people they've been conned is much harder. You need to overcome their pride.

    Too much intelligence for you?

If you had a proper education in real English, rather than the abridged one they teach you at school, you should be able to notice the subtle idiosyncrasies that come from learning the language after puberty, as a third language, and even locate me at Sweden.

But, that would take natural intelligence, artificial intelligence still has a long way to go.
