My first car was a 73 Mercury Comet GT Fastback with a 302. Like the old
Falcons, I could open the hood and sit IN the engine bay to work on the engine.
My first car was a '53 Chevy Bel Air, four door sedan.
It had been owned, literally, by a little old lady, who drove it a bit
more than just to church.
And it was loaded, for 1953. PS, PB, automatic, heater, radio, etc. It
also had a sun visor. Just don't stop too short of a red light or you
couldn't see it. Vacuum wipers that barely moved when going slow, but went faster the faster one was going. Sol
Had to sell that when I went into the Navy.
Then my '65 Falcon which I had for 12 years. The only extras on it were
a heater and radio. Great car.
