Title: Sodi (Jaffna Style Thin Coconut Gravy)

Yield: 1 Batch
1 sm Onion; chopped
3 c Coconut milk
Chiles; chopped
2 Tomatoes; diced
Curry leaves
Salt
Lime juice
2 c Water
Boil onion, chiles, and tomatoes in water with salt for 10 minutes.
Add coconut milk and simmer 10 minutes more. Remove from fire and add
lime juice. Tomatoes, potatoes, or cabbage can enhance sodi: just add
1/2 lb chopped vegetables and boil with the onion and chiles. Sodi is
traditionally served with stringhoppers, idiappam, or rice.
