Seems to me as though you've changed settings /since/ creating that netmail. One of your original binkd logs was this:

    26 Sep 00:05:24 [72510] 2:221/360@fsxnet busy, skipping
    26 Sep 00:05:24 [72511] call to 2:221/360@fidonet 26 Sep 00:05:24 [72511] trying f360.n221.z2.binkp.net [51.38.115.207]...

Which seems that at some point you were trying to route directly to point systems.

How about "route crash boss ..."

This is what I've got for my routing in HPT, exactly that.

    fido:~/fidoconfig$ cat route

I'd suggest you backup and delete your netmails that are stuck in your outbound directories, as well as your .?ut files, and when everything is clear and binkd stops trying to connect to systems it shouldn't be.. write 1 new netmail with these current settings and watch your logs to see if there are any more errors.

binkd is definitely seeing these outbound folders now, which was one of your original issues. I think you created these netmails before you even had binkd working, and then you changed settings, and now binkd is having issues with old routing statements.

    Am I close? ;)

    Regards,
    Nick

Now your binkd here is using the standard binkp port instead of
what is in the nodelist and in the binkp.net dns srv record. :(

I've seen this happening in windows...

I'm running binkd in a FreeBSD jail.

    tommi@mxo:~$ dig +short SRV _binkp._tcp.f360.n221.z2.binkp.net
    0 0 360 f360.n221.z2.rbb.fidonet.fi.
=== <- There is the port to poll by binkp.

Your FreeBSD must be based on windows then! :D

    As it should.

The question is, why is your binkd (as well as the windows version of mine) not using the correct port?

The question is, why is your binkd (as well as the windows version of mine) not using the correct port?

Because the Windows version of binkd does no read the SERV record when using binkd.net. My version of binkd - running on Win7 - has the same - annoying - shortcoming. It does not look this is going to be fixed any time soon. Let's get rid of IPv4. With IPv6 there is no need to meddle with non standard ports any more...

    Cheers, Michiel

IIRC, I tried it a couple of years ago on Linux and it didn't work. Does your binkp look up SRV records?
