gopher should be also doable and probably desirable. Offhand methinks that would be the way to go.

I can confirm that lynx connects to http://capitolcityonline.net but not gopher://capitolcityonline.net. I know "lynx gopher://" works as I have successfully connected to hosts on port 70.

So all you get is the main page and links that don't function.
I closed port 70 back up. ;)
That can and does happen every now and then. Also "lynx http://" had issues and I had to use "lynx telnet://" to create an account and then log into it. was looking to create a msg but didn't see an echoarea corresponding to ASIAN_LINK.
