    Yes. They are checking for cancer as a polyp shows up on both an ultrsound and a ct scan. He wanted to do a mri but I have hardware from an accident over 35 years ago that could pose a risk.

    I don't think it is cancer given that everything suspicious thus far has been benign. I believe the actual trouble has to do with liver damage that can be reversed once it was treated. However I am likely to have the surgery if for no other reason than to confirm I don't have cancer. :::knocking on wood:::
